This week there were several people who were not really sure about the difference between main idea and purpose of the author. Here are some reading exercises on biographies (texts of chronology) from Gallaudet University in Washington D.C. where you are required to select the main idea of the texts. There are also vocabulary and inference exercises. I hope they prove useful to you.
I am also including more sites with exercises for practice in the "links" area of the sidebar on the right of this page.

Estos ejercicios son muy buenos,los textos se pueden leer con realtiva facilidad, ademas se paracen mucho al los del parcial departamental y sirven de ayuda para ganar habilidad en la lectura en ingles.
Yo encontré esta página en el trimestre pasado y respondí algunos para practicar para la prueba departamental y para un quiz en ingles 1 y sí ayudan porque como son medio fáciles ejercitas idea principal, inferencia y casi todo lo que se evalua en ingles. Además practicas la lectura en ingles que es muy importante para poder aprender el idioma

El repaso que hemos hecho de ingles 1 me ha sido de mucho ayuda, ya que durante el trimestre pasado deje de ver muchas cosas por distintas cuasas...
